you are missing a lot for not having any citroens or peugeots.. why arent there any of those 2 car makers or even any french car makers in the us?

Because they do not want to produce vehicles to US specifications.
There used to be plenty of Citroen, Renault, and Peugeot dealers in the US.

There are lots of Citroens and Peugeots in the US, just mostly older (ie before 1991 when Peugoet officially pulled out of the US) although there are the very occasional one around.
The new ones are not imported because US will not accept Euro standards, they want to have cars approved to their own set of standards.
