That will be your alternator not working then It charges the Battery. When the Battery light is on it is not being charged
|

Does it start, using its own battery? if so then it must be charging, check the take-off lead for bad connection, corrosion etc.( from starter end of main lead, or battery end of main lead) could also be a broken earth lead, should really get it checked out by an auto-electrician..
