I've changed the Air Idle Control Valve but it has made no difference at all
l can not leave the car ticking over any longer as being as it is cold l am worried about doing some permanent damage
What can l try next, the car had been left standing for a couple of months and worked perfectly fine before

try removing the lambda & giving that a clean the air hole or loose fitting metal shroud on the top & the other end that sits in the exhaust see if this helps,is the air mas meter stuck ,probably not but worth a go,has it got an air leak making it run weak thus fooling the lambda to tell the ecu to through more fuel through.check to see if any breather pipes r slit or perished, check Major engine component wiring plugs to look for corrosion see if any of the terminals have gone green interrupting the flow of volts ,ohms or any other type of flow if its none of these re post another question with what you,ve tried,.
