Hello my wife has Citroen c2 and the passanger side window no longer operates, she said all she hears is a clicking noise when trying to make the window go down, and idea what maybe causing this - how easy is it to get door cover off etc ?

Thanks

Jason

l have this problem with my Jeep. l think it is a loose wire somewhere, it is very annoying and keeps happening. l wonder if it is common with all electric windows.

Is the car still under warranty ? If so get the dealer (stealer) to fix it.

Self-repairs can invalidate warranty.

Otherwise find a good independant garage, or perhaps check with a Haynes manual.

I've got a VW Golf. so can not give any direct experience with Citroen C2... however.. my passenger side electric window got stuck a while ago.. eventually went up very slowly (but not without a fight). l took the inner door cover off (was a real pain to do). but saw nothing obvious as to the reason. Assembled it back together.. & then got some silicone spray lubricant (with a plastic tube director) & spayed in the fur material gap, which houses the glass (both sides of the window). That got the electric window working nice & smoothly, up & down. & its not been a problem ever since (over 10 months ago). GL. (Tip: try not get any excess silicone spray lubricant on the paintwork)

Theres an even better lubricant for this job. specifically for this job l think.. but i've forgotten the name of it. l do not think u should use a lubricant like WD40 for this job.

l have a Citroen C2 too, & like one of the previous I'd get it straight back to the dealer if it is still under warranty. If not, then look for an independent garage that specialises in french cars, some specifically work on Peugot or Citroen & so will know the problem straight away & be able to get right to it. l have to admit l am disappointed in the build quality of my Citroen & did not quite realise how 'plasticky' the whole car is. Think l will try a Skoda next time. Good luck.

Having electrical problems are all part of the ''fun'' of owning a french car l am afraid the only long term solution is to sell it and never buy another french car.
