Saxo light alignment - too low

Just had my Saxo (51reg) headlights replaced -units not lamps- by citroen themselves. Except now l can not see more than 10ft in the dark without putting the full beam on, which is dangerous to say the least. Before l send this back to citroen and have them moan saying its been correctly aligned i've tried manually aligning them vertically -horizonally they are fine- but can not get them to raise anymore manually with a screw driver. Electric motors inside are working, but its too low. l do remember when l first got the saxo 3 years ago that the lights were much to be desired, but no way they were this bad. l can not see signs!.

Anyone have any ideas to half try before taking it back and having it out with them!
Its already at zero with the internal adjustment
Complete units were replaced, not the bulbs. Both headlight units. Both adjustment motors were working before and still are. l would not be telling Citroen that i'd been under bonnet.. i will play stupid on that one! Only issue that l could think of is that somehow they've not put the motors in correctly but obv the car will be going back so l do not wanna take them out. Just if anyone had any other ideas or possibilities.

Do not mess with it, just take it back. If you've messed around they will say it is your fault and want to charge you to put it right.

set your interior headlamp adjuster to zero

Just take it back and ask them to check the focus of you lights that you do not seem to happy with them, you've payed them money so you should be happy with there service and do not be worrying about going back to them but do not tell them you tried it yourself of they might charge you

Take it back to the dealer who fitted them & voice ur concerns. Do they also do MOTs there also? If so ask for one of the testers to set up the lamps for u on the headlamp beam setter, u can watch them do this just like u can view ur complete MOT test being carried out from the reception area, this way u know they r at least attempting to do something about it. When u say u had the units replaced do u mean the complete things or just the bulbs- if only the bulbs were replaced they may not be fitted correctly.

Check if the frame in which the headlights fit is not damaged or slightly hit. Any few millimeters of default in the front side of the car can cause really bad light distribution. l had the same with my Xsara, you might need to force the headlights downward from the engine compartiment side so they heighten their level.
