The thing with the C5 is apparently that it is one of the better Citroens made in the company is history, reliability-wise. Unfortunately, that does not mean a lot. It does have its hiccups, & the petrol engines r more trouble prone than the diesels. On the other hand, if u do the math, & if u do not depend on it too desperately, u will have to agree that the low used prices still make these cars a great buy, because they r much cheaper than most competitors when used, their suspension makes them an exqisite ride, & the money u may spend fixing one will still be less than the money u save on the purchase price compared to, say, a BMW or Lexus. Also, they r very safe, both to drive & handle, & also if, god forbid, u crash. I'd say: Buy it, but keep ur bus pass at hand, & get AA membership. Power on these is no problem if u r not expecting a rocket ship. They will handle average driving really well, & I've actually had a 2.0 cruising at 125mph in Germany once.

No..i dont think so,normal driving on freeways, flat roads..etc should not be a problem. But if youre trying to speed up real quick on a highway, the C5 2.0l will not be produce adequate power,Try the 2.5

Yes of course. The 2.0 engine is a good one, used also by Peugeot on many models, namely the 407. The bad reviews on the C5 are due to its ugly shape mainly. But overall, it is a good car, comfy, reliable and pleasant to drive (but not to look at!).
