bike :) or find a mechanic in your family tree OR you could probably call up any car products company (find a bottle of oil or something and call the number, they will know what to do)

you need to siphon all the fuel out of the tank

Well l am not a mechanic but my suggestion to you would be to put a hose in your gas tank and suck out the gas. What ever you do do not swallow it but empty it into a gallon or bucket or something. What you do is place a hose in the tank suck a little and then place the end of the hose in the bucket and the gas should start coming out of your tank.

Siphon out every bit you can, do not start the vehicle. If you have started it take off the fuel filter and replace it with a new one filled with diesel. Then fill the tank as full as you can with diesel and you should be OK. Good Luck. DO NOT START THE CAR UNTIL THE GAS IS OUT OF THE SYSTEM!!!

This can badly damage or destroy your engine as the diesel acts as lubricant aswell as fuel. Do not worry it can be fixed though, aslong as you do not start it up anymore. l would seriously get in touch with the AA or RAC as soon as you can so they can tow it to a garage, do NOT drive it!

You should be OK. Its much worse around the other way, (diesel in a petrol). It may smoke a bit, but as you use it, top up with diesel, and so on. It may run rough, but l am sure you will be OK.

Siphon the fuel tank . l have not worked on one yet so l am somewhat unfamiliar with it. If electric fuel pump u can remove the fuel line on the fuel filter & hook a temp hose on running to a fuel can fill the can & dispose of it safely maybe a friend could use it in their gas engine some diesel wo not harm it . Fill up u car with the proper fuel & go. l charge about $100-175.00 for this at my shop. which most of this is the replacement fuel cost & l use the removed fuel in my own pickup just mixed down with regular gas. If it was a much older car l might sugest mixing a couple of bottles of motor oil in the fuel but with the newer cars it may not work too well.

OOps.. Yeah. Dont drive it, first of all. It can be fixed though. Some places will tell u ''any part that the wrong fuel touched has to be replaced'' this is to get u to buy a bunch of stuff u dont need. Easiest way to fix: pull the fuel line off the engine or from underneath the car (if there isnt a drain plug on the fuel tank itself.) & jump the fuel pump relay to use the in tank fuel pump to empty all the mixed fuel into gas cans. Then fill it up all the way with fresh diesel. Should iron itself out.

its got to be drained out of the system. i know that because it was done often where l worked. i dont know what the procedure involves but its the only solution. i hope you get sorted dont use it until its done

That happened to us while on vacation...They drained all the fuel out and replaced it with the correct kind and we went home no problem.

Well as it is a new model car, l would not mess about with it.
Question is have you driven it from the petrol station at wich you filled it up?
It just not emptying it you have to worry about, it the cleaning of the filters in the petrol tank too.
Just think of it as an expensive mistake and get it looked at and done properly.

lmao,,sorry girl, couldnt help that one. some people just dont read the 'Q is do they. just drain out the tank and top up with diesel, as a diesel car by nature runs on rough fuel it wont be harmed by a little petrol. it may splutter for a while but just ride it out and off you go,,g/l

Do not run the engine!! Drain as much fuel out of the system as u can, by siphoning out the tank, disconnecting fuel pipes wherever u can, & blowing through. Reconnect. Change the fuel filter. Refill with fresh Diesel fuel, disconnect the injectors & flush through the injection pump by turning over the engine, then reconnect the injectors & hope all is well. Lot of work, but u might find there is no lasting damage. Most susceptible things r probably the seals in the pumps, which r not designed for petrol.

try to get a much petrol out a pos. there should be a detectable pipe a the bottom of where you fill up. then put in as much diesel as you can afford a least £10 and give it a go run. putting petrol in a diesel is not as bad as puttin diesel in a petrol. petrol will burn at high temp, the spark form the spark plug is not enough to ignite the diesel

silly girl, how could you make a mistake like that, all the fuel pumps are colour coded.RED is for lead replacement petrol.GREEN is for unleaded petrol.BLACK is for diesel. l suggest that you get your fuel tank drained ASAP and refilled with the correct fuel ie diesel. It may run rough for a few miles but there should be no permanent damage.

sadly you are not alone, eight years working n a citroen garage ive seen at least 3 people a week do this , unfortunatly this is human error and the fuel tank has to be drained and new fuel run through, specialised job dealer is best to do the job, wont affect your warrenty then, but the law now states that you can take your car to a vat quallifing garage and once they use genuaine citroen parts you wont affect your warrenty that is the law, and it will be a lot cheaper
