With the strong European connections particularly in Quebec you would have thought they would. With oil prices going higher every day maybe it is time to introduce some great vehicles to North America.

No man, with oil prices going higher it would be more logical to spend money investing on a new type of car or usable energy, do some research the oil reserves wo not last more than 50 or 60 years. BTW those cars you mentioned are built for small countries or for underpopulated ones like Canada.

Because not even Canadians are that stupid.

Renault tried fow a few years, even made cars in Canada.
AMC & Eagle brand, sold to Chrysler.
Citroen considered it & decided the changes neccessary to make the cars legal in Canada & the USA where too high for the expected sales volume.. a simple business decision.
l do not know about Peugeot, a few Peugeot Diesels were sold in the US in the early *0 is , l assume lack of volume made them stop it.
Fiat tried but had a reputation of being a ''finicky'' car, sales suffered & they withdrew.
